BAC DNA Sequencing Service

Eurofins MWG Operon provides automated DNA sequencing of BAC clones (as well as other large clone inserts, e.g. PACs, cosmids, fosmids) using Sanger DNA sequencing technology. We offer 2 services:

BAC Read DNA Sequencing Service

This service consists of a single pass read of your BAC clones using standard or custom primers. Special chemistry and expert handling of the reactions enables typical read lengths of over 750 bases. BAC Read DNA sequencing service can be used to sequence inserts in many large clone vectors, including BACs, PACs, cosmids, and fosmids.

BAC End Sequencing Service

This full featured service includes bacterial culture, BAC clone prep, and sequencing the insert from both ends. Bacteria can be delivered as stabs, glycerol stocks, or colonies.
